Neutrogena
In Los Angeles in 1930 the dermatology genius Emanuel Stolaroff created a small cosmetics
company named Natone and aimed high. Hollywood's film industry was the first client and the
products could only be found in exclusive shops and classy beauty salons.
In the 50's Stolaroff, together with a Belgian chemist, developed a soap that was scientifically
proven to reset the skin's pH level, and the soap – Neutrogena – became a favourite amongst
dermatologists. Suddenly, Natone had a product which was being recommended by clinics.
In 1962 the company changed its name to Neutrogena, increased their assortment by adding
high-quality skincare products, and began to distribute to bigger malls and pharmacies all over
the USA. Today Neutrogena is in 70 countries and is a household name.
