Frangipani
Frangipani was originally an Italian aristocratic family where one of the family members created a perfume that went down in history as Frangipani scent. Then, when Columbus made his travels and discovered the New World, one of the Frangipani family members found the plant that was called frangipani. During the 17- and 1800s almost all perfumers had their own Frangipani scent, that seldom contained the actual plant but was a powdery jasmine fragrance.
The scent of the Frangipani flower is floral and can be compared with that jasmine.
