Histoires de Parfums 1899 takes us into the world of Ernest Hemingway, where writers, bohemians and artists creep from the darkness of Paris night and take in the city's neon-lit streets and cafes to the tones of jazz and the sound of flowing champagne. This is a scent that oozes nostalgia, urban mythology and unbridled joy of life. The perfume is part of "Character Collections" and the reason why it was named 1899 is that it is Hemingway's year of birth.

The perfume begins dry and fresh with juniper berries, black pepper and Italian bergamot which then goes into the heart's iris, cinnamon and orange blossom. At the bottom of the bar's basement we dig out bass notes that contain vetiver, amber and creamy vanilla as rounds off the edges of this fouger-like creation. An inspiring and fun scent for anyone who wants to live life like every day was the last!
