Back Hair
– Men’s Grooming Guide
For men, being hairy isn’t always a problem. Trimmed and stylish beards are definitely cool and you'll also often hear women saying that men with a little bit of fur on their chests are more attractive. There is one thing, however, that is completely undesirable – back hair in men. Having back hair is not a serious condition; rather, it is just a hereditary trait. If you prefer a clean look on your back, there are multiple ways of removing the unsightly hair.
Each man has a different preference for grooming his back. We’ve, therefore, listed down all the possible ways for you to deal with back hair. Let’s take a look:
- Waxing: It is, undoubtedly, one of the most painful options to get rid of back hair. But the good news is – the skin on the back is less sensitive compared to the one on the chest. If you are doing it yourself, simply put a layer of wax onto your skin and as it sets up, use strips to pull it off against the direction of the hair growth. In waxing, hair is removed from the root and you get a smooth and hairless back for a prolonged period. For better results, you may need to repeat the whole thing twice.
Waxing back hair may be challenging, especially when you can’t see what you are waxing. In such a situation, enlist the help of your partner or friend to make the process easier and memorable too. - Hair Removal Creams: Depilatory creams or hair removal creams are easier to use. Simply smear it on the back and it will make the base of the hair dissolve to the point where it gets broken off. However, if you have sensitive skin, make sure that you steer clear of using hair removal creams as the integrated chemicals can lead to harsh reactions on the skin.
- Shaving: Considered as a more common solution among men, shaving gives you almost similar results as waxing and that too without pain! You simply need to grab a razor and get your back shaved at least once or twice a week. However, ensure that before shaving, you trim down the hair on the back to prevent the razor from getting clogged in the process. Also, follow the traditional shaving routine by using a shaving cream and shaving brush.
Remember that shaving only cuts the hair and doesn’t extract it from the roots. Hence, you need to shave more often.
