Dovo Straight Razor Turtle Imitation handles

This is a very stylish knife in Carbon steel from German Dovo, which gives almost a camouflage impression with its turtle handle. The 50s-inspired Dovo logo on the handle gives the knife a "that little extra" feeling that will soon manifest itself as an incredibly fine shave.

This knife has a 5/8" bowl-sharpened blade.

Do you find that the blade is dull when you get it? Try one of the following:

1. Brush up the blade before use
2. Change the technique. Chances are you have the wrong angle between knife and beard hair.
3. Only in exceptional circumstances will you need to sharpen your knife against a stone when it is brand new.
