Nice scent and not overwhelming.
Egypt is a very exclusive fragrance, and like Eight and Bob’s signature scent and Cap D’Antibes, there is a very interesting story behind it. Egypt was created in 1935 after a trip to Egypt where Albert Fouquet was visiting Ahmed, a childhood friend. At the same time, he took the opportunity to visit the pyramids of Egypt, because he had a deep fascination for the history and culture of ancient Egypt.
He was also determined to research the perfume ingredients used by Egyptians for thousands of years and Ahmeds garden, with so many fantastic flowers, all unknown to Albert, made the journey complete. He was so overwhelmed by new sensations that he had to return four months later to complete his work.
Egypt is a vibrant and warm, sweet scent with woody and spicy notes. Lavender, oak moss and lemon mingles with cardamom and nutmeg and is completed in a thrilling base of sandal wood, patchouli and leather that gives this scent a sensual and exclusive tone.
Nice scent and not overwhelming.
So incredibly good
Nice vibe
It smells like a modern, classic man. I like it but don't love it. It lasts on my skin for around 6 hours or so, which is pretty decent. I would not buy it again.
Smells wonderful!
Smells masculine and spicy
Wow what a scent
This quickly became a favorite! It's warm and embracing, blending sandalwood with a scent like a warm summer evening where the wind catches the smell of flowers. The scent is quite mild and won't dominate the room you enter. It might not last a full workday but is perfect for an evening. This new purchase was a replacement, as the previous bottle was running low. But - how disappointed I was! It's not the same perfume! It has gone from an EDP to possibly an EDT or maybe After Shave. There's hardly any scent at all - just alcohol! Such a shame - for such a nice scent! It could be something wrong with my bottle - but it doesn't seem likely. SAD!!
Wonderful scent that lasts a long time
