Gifts for dad

Presenttips-pappa

Dads are the worst in class at wanting things. "I have everything I need" is the standard answer, and it's almost never true — it just means he hasn't upgraded the things he uses every day. That's where a gift for dad should start: shaving, fragrance, beard care and skincare, in a quality he'd never treat himself to. If you don't know where to start, a gift card lets him choose at his own pace.

What do you get a dad who says he doesn't need anything?

Look in his bathroom instead of asking him. That's where the answer is: the disposable razor, the soap from the supermarket, no face cream at all. Swap one of them for the real thing — a razor that lasts twenty years, a soap that actually smells of something, a cream he'll use because it's sitting out where he can see it. It's not a big gift, but it's one he notices every morning, and that's exactly what "I don't need anything" really means. If he has a beard, a beard care kit is the right call; if you don't know much about his routine, a ready-made gift set is the safest bet.

What do you give a dad turning 50, 60 or 70?

Something that lasts as long as he does. A milestone birthday calls for a pricier, more lasting gift than an ordinary one: a metal safety razor, a shaving brush, a leather toilet bag, or a niche perfume he'd never have chosen himself but will wear for years. The gift should feel like a marker of the occasion, not a restock of his supplies. If siblings pool together, a complete shaving set or a larger bottle of fragrance is the classic choice, putting you in the upper range under gifts over 1,000 kr.

What's a good last-minute gift for dad?

Something that ships fast, or doesn't need shipping at all. We deliver within 1–3 business days, and an email gift card arrives right after purchase. If you're in the same city, you can pick it up at one of our stores. When you're choosing at the last minute, go small and right rather than big and random — a soap he actually likes beats an ornament every time.

What do you give dad for Christmas?

Same principle as the rest of the year, but with one advantage: at Christmas, giving consumables feels completely natural. A Christmas gift for dad can be a shaving cream, an aftershave or a soap without feeling too small, because it sits among several other presents. If you want to give something bigger, perfume is the Christmas gift that gets used up the fastest. And if he's the kind of dad who genuinely means it when he says he has everything, that's when you look at gifts for the man who has everything — that's where we've gathered what actually works for him.

COMMON_FAQ

What's a good gift for a new dad?

Something that makes his short moments to himself a little better: a good shower gel, a fast-absorbing face cream, or a deodorant that lasts all day. Skip gifts that demand time and ritual — he doesn't have that right now. A small kit with three products is usually the right level.

What makes a gift for Dad feel personal?

One that shows you know what he actually uses. Swapping his usual shaving cream for a better one in the same style is more personal than an engraving. Add a handwritten card — that's what dads keep, not the packaging.

What should you get Dad for Father's Day?

Something smaller and more personal than a birthday gift — Father's Day is about appreciation, not big packages. We've put together what suits the occasion best under Father's Day gifts. Note that the date falls on different days depending on where you are, so it's worth checking the local date before you plan around it.

How fast can the gift be delivered?

Delivery time depends on where you're ordering from, so check your local site for the exact shipping window. If you're shopping on gents.co.uk (UK), delivery normally takes 2-5 working days, with free shipping from £80. If you're cutting it close, an email gift card arrives immediately after purchase.
