Good so far. Lightweight. For the money, a no brainer!

Great razor. This is my second of the same model. I bought this one to keep in my toiletry bag. Easy to use without getting razor burns. Smooth opening for blade replacement.

It turned into a real bloodbath when using it, and I remembered why I don't use this razor.

I find that it gives a good and close shave, but I'm still learning to use a safety razor.

Just the right size, easy to grip. Feels good for me as a beginner. Maybe a bit on the heavy side. But completely satisfied.

Works very well. Better than Gillette and cheaper.

Had a Merkur 34 that gave up after a few years; the screw mechanism threads corroded and broke. I've had the Sailor for a couple of months now and am very satisfied. In my opinion, it shaves much better, resulting in a closer shave and completely smooth skin. However, it requires careful and lighter handling to avoid cuts. The blade change mechanism also works very well.

It only worked to shave on a completely smooth surface, otherwise I started bleeding immediately. Then I didn't think it was possible to shave so that all the hair disappeared; stubble was left instead.

Have had the same experience as several others with razor burn, not sure if mine was a Monday model. I use Feather razor blades and had no problems with my Merkur, which has been a fantastic workhorse for several years until the threads finally gave out. I will repurchase the Merkur and throw this one in the trash.
