Fornasetti Rectangular Ashtray Farfalle

Fornasetti Rectangular Ashtray Farfalle is a decorative porcelain dish from the Italian design house Fornasetti, adorned with an imaginative motif of butterflies in different colours and patterns. The delicate butterflies seem to flutter across the pale porcelain surface, creating a sense of lightness and movement. Farfalle means butterflies in Italian, and the design reflects Piero Fornasetti's fascination with the shapes of nature and his ability to combine traditional craftsmanship with playful, distinctive design.

The rectangular dish measures 15.4 × 10.6 cm and has a height of 2 cm. Its elongated shape makes it particularly suitable as a decorative trinket dish for keys, jewellery, coins and other small items on a desk, hallway console or bedside table. Made from decorated porcelain, the dish may display slight variations in the finish as a result of the craftsmanship involved, giving each piece its own individual character. An elegant and colourful home accessory that also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who appreciates Italian design and imaginative art.
