Giesen & Forsthoff Cut Throat Beech

Classic razor from German Giesen & Forsthoff with 5/8 inch carbon steel blade and handle of beech wood and the text "Timor Deluxe" etched in to the blade.

The straight razor is "shave ready" when it comes, you do not need to strop the blade before using the knife for the first time. The blade is made of carbon steel, that means it is easier for you to get a sharp focus at stropping / grinding than if the blade were made ​​of stainless steel. You simply get a sharper edge. It also means that you must be careful to wipe the blade after use and store the knife dry, otherwise there may be small patches of rust on the blade.
