Best razor I've owned so far. Had mine for several years and still love it. It feels good in the hand, has great weight, and shaving is so easy. Furthermore, I like the Art Deco design of the razor, really stylish. MERKUR truly delivers great quality, even the blades from MERKUR have been no disappointment so far.

(after a few years with a safety razor) easier to handle than Merkur's beginner model, also more stylish, but a clear disadvantage is that it can sometimes start unscrewing itself during shaving.

Used it for about a year now and I'm very satisfied with my purchase and the switch to a safety razor. It's cheaper, gives a better shave, easy to clean as you just unscrew and rinse, and it's compact. Great beginner razor. A downside is that the pattern isn't very deep so it provides poor grip in the shower, and sometimes it's been hard to open, but once I cleaned the thread, it was fine again. Definitely worth the price.
