Of all the fragrances created by the Italian Alessandro Gualtieri for the Nasomatto line, the woody Pardon is probably the most wearable and “classic” in his catalogue, while also marked by a certain elegance. Masculine, yet somewhat more all round and versatile for those who feel that the spice bomb Duro is a bit too much.
As everyone knows, Alessandro does not disclose the notes of his compositions, but we find a floral opening that quickly transitions into soft woody notes of patchouli and oud, complemented by subtle accents of chocolate and tonka bean, possibly with a hint of cinnamon, in the drydown. The overall impression is soft woody and green accords with a chocolate-tinged finish.
Pardon is a creation that suits most occasions. Whether you are at work, on a walk in the forest, or dressed in your most elegant suit, it sits like the perfect accessory. Gualtieri’s version of a “classic male,” if you will. As if he is asking for “forgiveness” for slightly compromising his otherwise challenging attitude.

Highly recommend a scent that changes character throughout the day.. becomes a bit more masculine.. will probably buy at least one more, know about duro but would like to buy one that is more for our summer? But I am incredibly satisfied with my purchase as I usually am with you (Gents).

Very pleasant scent that starts strong and fades tastefully. It contains some cocoa in the base notes, but I also think I can detect some vanilla.

Really good, if you like Tom Ford - Oud Wood, you'll like Pardon. Very similar, but with a scent of oud/cocoa instead of oud/cardamom.
Was very confused by Pardon. Smells okay, but I think it's a bit too much like grandpa's aftershave..? Sharp, spicy.. not sure what words to use to describe it. I thought it would be more smooth and warm in its presentation. Maybe it is on other people's skin, what do I know. Unfortunately, it won't be a favorite for me.
