"It is the scent of awakening, a breath that breaks the ordinary and exalts the extraordinary. It draws on the invisible forces that unite the earthly and the ethereal, a bridge between the tangible and the transcendent. The journey of the soul is both the question and the answer." – Alessandro Gualtieri
Orto Parisi's Risvelium is inspired by an ayahuasca ritual once experienced by Alessandro Gualtieri in Peru. Ayahuasca is derived from the plant Banisteriopsis caapi, which is often used for psychedelic effect and has a long history of use in shamanic rituals in the rainforests of Peru.
Gualtieri created Risvelium to describe the awakening (Italian '‘risveglio’) in the form of spiritual experiences that often results from consuming the drug - an awakening sometimes described as a rebirth.
Risvelium opens surprisingly with a sweet-fruity explosion of grapefruit, pineapple, citrus and mysterious green notes. It then moves into warm and earthy accords of musk, amber and harsh, smoky ambroxinide. This is a scent that cannot be captured in words and will hardly leave anyone indifferent: Risvelium simply must be experienced.
