A distinctly fresh and delightful summer perfume. Another fragrance in the 1861 series that smells fantastic.
XJ 1861 Renaissance is one of three fragrances that are dedicated to the 150 anniversary of Italy's unification and is inspired by the country's wealth and beauty.
1861 Renaissance is a tribute to Renaissance Italy. A light romantic fragrance with fruity citrus notes mixed with the sweet floral notes of rose and lily of the valley and a fresh mint note, which stands out in the heart note. The fragrance is rounded with a woody base of patchouli, moss, amber and cedar.

Don't say I smell like lemon wood, give it a chance until the scent settles down and integrates with the body. You will love the pleasant, spiritual scent that takes you to heaven.
Smells fresh. Lots of citrus and green with a slight mint scent. Smells great, especially after it has been on for a while.
En enkel, citrusliknande doft. Ingen favorit, men absolut inte dålig.
I haven't been much into perfumes as an adult, but after receiving a perfume sample from Gents when I bought a safety razor, etc., I wondered what was next. I thought that perfume sample was really fantastic, but I wanted to try something completely new. Even though Xerjoff itself is quite expensive, their perfume samples are incredibly good value. Who can't manage without a hundred bucks? Anyway, as someone interested in history, I bought a perfume sample of this, Renaissance, by chance and was blown away, "mind blown" as they say. As a beginner with perfumes, I couldn't say much about whether it smelled like citrus or not, but now after having tried quite a bit more from Xerjoff, I can agree that it smells very much of citrus, but in a totally fantastic way. Renaissance is really good, but is well complemented by Naxos and by Alexandria II. This one is more worth the cost than Nio, but I love Nio as it is a bit more pronounced than Renaissance in its scent of pine/spruce, at least in my world. Pine/spruce is not part of the scent notes for Nio.
Mature and very good fragrance
A real disappointment! It smells almost only like lemon!
Fresh tones but a bit short
sophisticated scent
A lovely summer scent
