The best and perhaps most obvious tip: Brush your teeth twice a day. We often forget how important and effective it is to look after our teeth by using a regular toothbrush and floss daily. Daily brushing prevents tooth discolouration from getting worse and prevents new ones from appearing.

A whitening toothpaste helps to keep your teeth clean and white. They effectively remove discolouration with regular use. A gentle alternative that whitens your teeth without any harmful abrasive effects.

3use a straw

Fruit juices and soft drinks can have a corrosive effect on enamel. If you still want to indulge in a good drink, choose to drink through a straw to minimise contact with tooth surfaces. We understand that straws in the middle of your colleagues may seem odd, but what can you not do to keep your teeth white? If you drink juice in the morning or soft drinks in the evening, wait at least half an hour after drinking to brush your teeth, as the acid from the drink can wear away at the tooth surface when brushing.

4CUT OUT SNACKING

Snacks, office snacks and fruit baskets do not help those who want to stay away from snacking. The more we snack, the more our teeth are exposed to acids that damage them. So if you want to keep your teeth in tip-top shape, cut out or cut back on snacking.

5SKIP COFFEE AND SMOKING

It may be useful to know that coffee and smoking cause discolouration of the teeth. The latter may be wise to avoid for a number of reasons, but what would the morning be without a steaming, creamy, freshly brewed espresso? We must be allowed to have life's little pleasures after all.
