Fragrance Winners 2026: the best for him and for her

Two scents. Two titles.

Daisy Beauty Awards is one of Sweden’s most respected beauty accolades, where an expert jury spotlights launches that truly stand out. At the 2026 ceremony, we had extra reason to celebrate: two fragrances from our assortment took home the top awards. Benjamin Barber Nightfall won Fragrance of the Year (Men), and Floraïku Gong won Fragrance of the Year (Women).

BENJAMIN BARBER NIGHTFALL
FRAGRANCE OF THE YEAR (MEN)

“In an industry where nobody wants to be like everyone else, yet few truly manage to deliver on that promise, this is an upstart that genuinely stands out. Unexpected notes, surprising freshness and a soothing base secure the win.”

Nightfall hits with a crisp, confident burst of citrus. Bergamot and lemon feel juicy yet refined—like a freshly pressed shirt translated into scent. Within minutes, the composition starts to deepen, and that’s where Nightfall really shows its craft. Aromatic accents such as lavender and thyme add structure and precision, sharpening the silhouette until it feels tailored rather than casual.

As it settles, Nightfall turns warmer and more evening-ready. Orange blossom and jasmine bring a subtle floral lift with less “flower bouquet”, more a soft glow, like lingering warmth in the air after a long day. The base is built to sit beautifully on skin: smooth woods with a faint smoky edge, oakmoss for an elegant, slightly powdery finish, and a rounded warmth from musk, amber and tonka bean. The result is a modern men’s scent that feels luxurious without turning heavy, equally right at the office or at dinner, whenever you want to smell sharp, composed and considered.

FLORAÏKU GONG
FRAGRANCE OF THE YEAR (WOMEN)

"Fresh sweetness, warm woods, thoughtfully balanced spice and an elegant resonance that feels both subtle and irresistible. And the overall experience is so much more than fragrance. After all, it’s what’s inside that counts, but nobody complains when the outside matches, too."

Gong wears like a small poem: clean, airy, and strangely moving. It opens with mandarin, yuzu and rosépepper, a sparkling brightness that feels like light sliding over skin. There’s just enough bite to keep it interesting, and the pepper adds tension, making the freshness feel sophisticated rather than simple.

What makes Gong truly memorable is the turn it takes in the heart. A soft, spiced sweetness appears—press notes reference dorayaki—yet on skin it reads more like warm velvet than dessert. Benzoin and pepper bring a quiet depth and a gentle, smoky warmth, as if the pace slows and the scent becomes almost meditative. In the base, drier woods and vetiver take over, keeping the signature elegant and wearable while preserving that “clean yet complex” character that’s hard to tire of. It’s modern in its expression, timeless in its calm—an award winner that never needs to raise its voice to be the last word.

FINALISTS – MEN’S FRAGRANCE OF THE YEAR

Winners deserve the spotlight, but the finalists often reveal what’s truly happening in perfumery right now. The following scents were finalists in Daisy Beauty Awards 2026.

Widian Samar is the finalist with the most unmistakable aura. Widian has a special talent for fragrances that feel polished and opulent, and Samar carries that signature effortlessly. It’s a strong choice when you want more evening energy, when scent feels like part of the look, the final detail that completes everything.

Plume Impression Royal Bourbon leans into classic elegance, but with a modern presence. The name hints at warmth and depth, and the overall impression is distinctly well-dressed. Royal Bourbon has a calm authority, and it's perfect if you want something confident, mature and defined, without ever feeling stiff.

FINALISTS – WOMEN’S FRAGRANCE OF THE YEAR

New Notes Latte Pistachio Extrait de Parfum is a gourmand with a self-assured stance. Creamy and enticing, yet with a contemporary twist, more niche texture than just pure sugar rush. The extrait concentration gives it a denser, closer presence on skin, ideal if you like a scent that stays and feels intentional.

QOT Wingwoman EdP balances wearability with personality. It’s made for everyday use, but with a sharp little edge, the scent has something that keeps it from turning polite. Its finalist spot says a lot about how much we’re craving modern signatures with real identity.

Dusita Tonka Latte sits in a more nuanced corner of the gourmand spectrum: artistic, softly layered, more “warm skin” than “sweet latte”. Tonka can easily become too obvious, but here it’s velvety and refined, with a beautiful balance of warmth and elegance. A scent for anyone who wants something enveloping and intriguing yet unmistakably sophisticated.
