HOW OFTEN CAN I WASH MY
MY HAIR WITH SHAMPOO?

Try not to wash your hair with shampoo every day, this can be difficult depending on your lifestyle and what you do for a living. If you wash your hair with shampoo daily, there is a great risk that you will dry out both your hair and scalp, resulting in dry lengths and a dry, flaky scalp. Usually it is enough to wash your hair with a shampoo 2-3 times a week.

HOW TO SHAMPOO PROPERLY

Many people make the mistake of shampooing their hair only once. What happens then is that you dissolve the dirt that is in the hair and scalp, move it around in the hair but do not get it out completely when you rinse with water. The risk is then that you develop a build-up on your scalp that can both itch a lot and clog the pores in your scalp, which in turn can increase the risk of hair loss.

Start by rinsing your hair with water properly (a lot of water in the hair), massage in a small amount of shampoo, the dirtier your hair is the less your shampoo will lather at the first shampooing, so there is nothing wrong with your shampoo, your hair is just really dirty. After massaging in the shampoo, rinse with water. Repeat the same process again, the second time let your shampoo sit for 1-2 minutes, especially if you have a shampoo for hair loss or other scalp problems. During the second shampooing, you will also notice that your shampoo will lather more. Rinse out with water (not too hot) and you now have 100% clean hair.

CONDITIONER, IS IT NECESSARY?

The answer to this question is both yes and no. The need for a conditioner depends on what function you want it to fulfill. If you experience your hair as dry and lackluster, choose a conditioner that moisturizes the hair, it will feel softer and shinier. Dry and itchy scalp? Choose a conditioner that soothes your scalp and moisturizes it. If you suffer from hair loss, invest in a conditioner that gives an extra kick and stimulates your scalp to slow down the hairloss and wake up dormant hair follicles. Short hair without any problems? No, you probably don't need a conditioner if you don't feel like a little extra luxury in the shower.
