juniper

Juniper is a classic berry that has been used in the Nordic region since the Middle Ages. The berry has been used in cooking, flavoring liquor and beauty care. Today, we often see juniper as a note in modern perfumes. Jubiper gives a fresh, spicy and bittersweet scent that is also fiery, peppery and fresh.

birch

One of the most common wood species in the Nordic region is birch. It grows throughout the Nordic region, both in the south and in the north. The birch leaves contain a naturally cleansing substance which has made it a popular ingredient in various cleansing products. When using birch in a perfume, you get a green, aroma.

oakmoss

Oakmoss grows not only on oaks but also on some fruit and beech trees. The best conditions for oakmoss is on the north side of the globe, our Nordic climate is ideal. Many products and scents we think of as classically masculine contains oakmoss. It gives a strong earthy tone to the scent.

fir

The fir is perhaps the most common wood species in the Nordic region. Traditionally, the wood is used for wood and paper production. In perfume production, we use three different kinds of fir, the Swedish fir, Silver fir and Siberian fir. The Swedish fir and the silver fir are the same and smell a bit sweet, light and has a woody tone. The Siberian is spicy, sweeter and with cinnamon tones.

We have long fine coasts in both Sweden and around the other Nordic countries. It is along our coastlines many brands today find inspiration. When talking about fragrances with marine elements, it is not tied to a certain note but conveys more sense of freshness and cleanness. In the marine notes we find sea with its sea salt, sea breeze with its pure fresh scent and the green scent of seaweed.
