Spring is a long-awaited time for many, and while the weather may not always be with us, you can always bring out the spring feelings by wearing a suitable fragrance to brighten up the cold and darkness of winter. Here are some exciting new fragrance tips for the 2024 spring season.

widian granada

Abu Dhabi based brand Widians The latest addition to the Blue Sapphire collection, dedicated to the world's cities, is an exceptionally fresh and spring-like story with citrus, florals and woods as the key components. It leaves the strong fruity and spicy, smoky notes behind and surprises with rather cool, elegant and light chords reminiscent of sunny Spain.

Granada is located in Andalusia in southern Spain at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and you can definitely feel the warm winds blowing by in this very pleasant composition, which can be worn during the day, at work and with a suit in the evening. A recognisable element typical of Widian is the raspberry at the top, which is joined here by bergamot, rose, cedar, oakmoss and white musk, among others.

LIQUIDES IMAGINAIRES FLEUVE TENDRE

Fleuve Tendre from French brand Liquides Imaginaires is a floral, woody musk fragrance for both women and men that is perfect for both spring and summer - fresh and aromatic at the same time. The lovely blue colour of the bottle certainly matches the vibes of the fragrance itself with its refreshing top notes of mandarin, cardamom and saffron. A discreet place in the mix are spices like cumin, coriander and black pepper and floral agents in the form of geranium, rose water and petalia. The base notes hide musk, earthy vetiver, sensual civet and patchouli, but there are also gentle hints of tonka bean and suede.

Fleuvre Tendre may seem simple in its freshness and lightness at first scent, but it actually contains a complexity that makes it a special springtime treat.

BDK PARFUMS VILLA NEROLI EDP

French BDK's "blue" range, reminiscent of the Italian Riviera, rarely disappoints with its fresh, exotic tributes to spring and summer. Villa Neroli is perhaps the series' most floral take on the theme, although it's still marine and summery, but not as colourful and sweet as the favourite. Citrus Riviera. Here we get a cooler, more subtle freshness perfect for spring, inspired by Capri's orange tree gardens, where much of the focus has been on the floral note of neroli, while citrus from the orange blossom is present.

Lemon, neroli, petitgrain, orange blossom, rose and vetiver are the main ingredients. The perfect unisex fragrance for spring.

BORTNIKOFF SCHEHERAZADE
EXTRAIT DE PARFUM

For those looking for a total nature experience, we just can't get past Dmitry Bortnikoff's It's unique craftsmanship to say the least, which really should be categorised more as bottles of pure ingredients than perfume in the traditional sense. If you're into citrus, we recommend the fresh, citrusy and elegant Amber Cologne, with hints of creamy amber, but for those looking for a spring scent that has greenery and nature (and some elements of gourmand in the drydown) as its artistic expression, Scheherazade - dedicated to the princess in the epic novel One Thousand and One Nights - is an experience you won't soon forget.

Associations of freshly cut grass and cooling mint are the main impression of this wonderfully fresh and natural witch's brew, although the scent is actually composed of completely different notes. A complex creation that opens with blackcurrant, bergamot and red mandarin, followed by pepper, sandalwood, cedar and Malaysian oud. Like taking a nap on the lawn when spring is in bloom and the berry bushes are just around the corner.

ROJA PARFUMS ISOLA BLU

If you're looking to be a little more dressed up and sophisticated, Roja Dove's Isola Blu is a must-have spring perfume, whether you're in the office, sitting on a Swedish outdoor terrace or travelling down to Cannes. It's elegance by the bucketload. The perfume is actually a relaunch of the old Oligarch, which had to be withdrawn due to the Ukraine conflict and was renamed Isola Blu when it came back.

We don't know if it's the name or the southern-inspired marketing that's playing tricks on us, but this one certainly feels sunnier and more marine than the original, even though they're supposedly 98% similar. In any case, it's a great sunny refreshment for spring if you want to add a little glitter to your life.
