A dream that came true
The fairytale about a girl, with a dream about re-creating her favorite perfume, became a success story about an Australian perfume house.
The beginning
It was during the '80s that Teone Reinthal was gifted a perfume from Diorissimo, where all the ingredients were listed on the back. It was like lightning that came out of the blue when Teone got the perfume; everything she wanted was to create her own Diorissimo. Unlighted about the right process, she began to explore the world of perfume.
Teone saved her money and managed to get hands on different perfumes from Dior. She felt enthusiasm about knowing how these perfumes are made because the structure was easy. Later Teone got hold of perfume essence and different oils from hippie markets and experimented with how she could make her own perfume, through layering.
How it started
It was not until 2013 that Teone founded TRNP, with the niche that every fragrance is based on natural ingredients, instead of synthetic, which most brands use today. You may think, that it is for the sake of climate that the niche of TRNP is natural ingredients, but the real reason is that Teone researched aromatherapy. She understood the chemical structure of essential oils, and during the time she wrote her Ph.D., she found a comfort zone when she experimented with the oils. Her eagerness for expanding her knowledge within the perfume world came to her again, and instead of going the safe way, with synthetic perfumes, she wanted to make a perfume of natural ingredients. After many unsuccessful attempts, she finally created two different perfume bases with chypre and amber.
The perfumes
The thought behind the perfumes is that it is supposed to "breath" with your body, without being too distinct. Being unisex, and therefore not feminine or masculine, the perfumes can be used by everyone. Every ingredient is harvested after season, mainly from local suppliers in Australia, and every perfume is only blended in batches of 5-10 litres. Therefore the ingredients can vary from batch to batch, which Teone herself says is a creative speciality. The production is divided into 3 parts.
- Teone create the perfume essence of natural oils.
- The concentrated perfume is blended with beeswax or coconut oil to get the right texture.
- The perfume is filtered through unbleached paper because less residual product will come to the perfume bottles bottom.
The handmade perfume is then tapped onto the signature bottles of TRNP, made of Italian glass or french crystal, made over 60 years ago. Besides that, some of the perfume are tapped onto perfume spray bottles of 30 ml.
TRNP offers a big variety of perfumes, all of them customized after each season. Every perfume has a special history, whose fragrance is developed by every heartbeat.
