Sandalwood
Sandalwood comes from Asia but also groves in Oceania. The tree is said to have some medicinal properties and has long used in aromatherapy.
Essential oils for perfume is extracted by distillation and the older the wood the better the scent of the oils that are extracted. Sandalwood has a very unique scent, both simple and complex. The scent can be described as sweet, soft, warm, with hints of oriental spices and rose.
