It can secretly blend in behind things in a way that synthetic vanilla cannot. Synthetic vanilla-based fragrances are usually sugary and slightly ‘sticky’, while real vanilla is warm, deep and gourmandising on the skin. Here we meet the vanilla note in the company of rose pepper, ivy and hay which, together with floral notes, give it a whole new dimension.
