There are many positive things with using a Cut-Throat. Firstly, they will last a lifetime (at the least!) so even though the start-cost can be big you usually save money in the end. Generally speaking, the higher the degree of cupping is, the more unstable the razor. Sure, the edge will become sharper the more concave the blade is, but a more cupped blade is also much more sensitive to external influences than a blade that is less cupped.
