Byzantine Amber is an intense and decadent perfume that reflects a great civilization in the final phase of its splendor – brilliance and grace giving way to darkness and decay. The fragrance is inspired by the grandeur and drama of Gustave Moreau’s painting Salome as well as the beautiful gold mosaics of Ravenna from the height of the Byzantine civilization, doomed to perish with time. 

Here we find geranium - fruity, floral, spicy and slightly green - contrasting with the dry mineral qualities of ambergris and styrax. The backbone of the perfume is built on a familiar structure: a rich and warm amber accord, enhanced by cinnamon, one of the world’s most sensual spices. The base notes deepen the composition with leathery, smoky, and animalic facets, adding intensity and character.
