Oud is a dark heart wood made from the aquilaria tree family. if the tree gets infected by a certain type of mold, a dark oil resin will be formed with a densified and mysterious smell. it is an unusual and very rare event, and large volumes are required to extract a sufficient amount of oil for perfume manufacture.Therefore, oud has a higher price than gold.
