for him - NAXOS

XJ 1861 Naxos is one of three fragrances dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy and is inspired by the richness and beauty of the country. Naxos is a tribute to Sicily. Fruity citrus and gentle lavender mingle with sweet flowers, spices and honey. The scent finishes with contrasting notes of tobacco, tonka bean and vanilla.

Drink XJ 1861 Naxos:

  • 5 cl Tangerine juice
  • 2 cl Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1.5 cl Monin Chocolate Syrup
  • 1.5 cl Monin Vanilla Syrup
  • 0,5 cl Raw sugar layer with cinnamon & cardamom
  • 0,5 cl Muscovado syrup
  • Liquor: 4 cl Dark rum

Pour all ingredients into a shaker, top up with ice. Shake and strain the drink into coupe glasses.

For her - EMPRESSA

Empressa is a delightful fragrance inspired by the pearls, silks and expensive textiles that were sent across stormy seas to the London society of the past.

Exuberant and fruity top notes of blood orange and peach mingle with the slightly heavier exotic spices that, along with white roses and powdery pink geraniums, make up the heart note. The fragrance is completed by a warm and reassuring base note of cocoa, sandalwood and amber, with an underlying hint of vanilla for sweetness. A very flattering and romantic fragrance.

Drink Penhaligon's Empressa:

  • 4 cl Vanilla vodka
  • 1 cl Creme de Cassis
  • 1 cl Peach liqueur
  • 1 cl chocolate liqueur
  • 6 cl Blood orange juice
  • 2 slices of lime
  • 2 cl Vanilla sugar syrup (sugar syrup where vanilla ice cream has been left to soak overnight)
  • 2 fresh raspberries
  • 2 fresh blackberries

Place the lime, raspberries, blackberries in a rocks glass and muddle. Pour vanilla vodka, sugar syrup, blood orange juice, blackcurrant liqueur and passoa into a shaker with ice, shake until the shaker is frosty on the side, pour into the glass with lime, raspberries and blackberries, stir with a spoon.
