We usually associate English Molton Brown with luxurious and fragrant shower gels and hand soaps as well as lifestyle and skincare products. But they also have an excellent fragrance catalogue, which, in addition to their previous eau de toilettes, has now been expanded with a large number of highly concentrated niche eau de parfums. Here are a few favourites.

MESMERISING OUDH ACCORD & GOLD
EDP 100 ML 

Let's start with one of the most successful things that English Molton Brown has delivered in the masculine, darker segment: Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold - a spicy composition with some hints of soft sweetness (but never overpowering). The word "Gold" in the name derives from the small glittering flakes of gold leaf that the shower gel version contains - otherwise, in terms of scent, the shower gel is slightly sweeter with a stronger cognac note in the accord while the perfume is darker, drier and woodier. Bergamot and spicy cinnamon at the top, myrrh and black tea in the heart notes and a base of honey, vetiver and oud.

COASTAL CYPRESS & SEA FENNEL EDP 100 ML

Continuing with the fresh theme, it's hard to get around the mild, marine-influenced Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel. It is undeniably a scent that is best in spring or summer but can be worn all year round in contexts where you may want to tone down your scent trail a bit, for example at work. For a fresh fragrance with a clear marine accent, it is still complexly constructed with everything from cypress wood and jasmine to ginger, fig leaves, leather and citrus, ingredients that make it stand out from the crowd.

FIERY PINK PEPPER EDP 100 ML

Molton Brown is good at peppery scents and here it is the rosé pepper that plays the main role. And rosé pepper is a note that is rarely used so clearly. Which almost feels like a mystery when you see it in Molton Brown's version because the result is both unexpected and fragrant - probably one of Molton's best fragrance creations and which also works equally well on both sexes. The rose pepper combined with ginger, sensual musk and floral notes creates a distinctly unisex character but with a fresh spiciness and woodiness from oakmoss cedar and patchouli that also brings out the dry and masculine. The scent is a masterpiece in both hand soap and shower gel and the EdP perfume is definitely not inferior.

MILK MUSK EDP 100 ML

Milk Musk is the latest fragrance series from the English brand, with a soft and delightfully sensual sweetness that should be appreciated even by those who otherwise fear sweet scents. Unexpected things happen here with pear and peach at the top while a sexy, aromatic musk together with ambroxan (a synthetic version of amber) and creamy vanilla create a luxurious and expressive compote at the heart of the perfume. Tonka bean and cedarwood complete the mix. Perfect as a lightly worn unisex and for those who appreciate a warm, soft and well-balanced sweetness in fragrance with complex surprises.
