In Japan, the celebration of the Buddha's birthday, which takes place annually on the eighth of May, is called Hana Matsuri and which also means "Flower Festival". At the time of the celebration, pink cherry blossoms are in full bloom around the Buddhist temples, which together with blooming magnolia and violet has been the inspiration for this fragrance. The scent starts with fresh top notes of citrus, turns into warm and floral heart notes to finally result in base notes of woody and slightly bitter resinous chords.
