Afrikaans from Question of Time is a floral chypre with oriental nuances, where Turkish rose meets juicy fruits, warm spices and dark oud.
The fragrance opens with a juicy and vibrant combination of lychee, mango and raspberry. Green violet leaves add a cool, slightly crisp nuance, while a spicy Turkish rose emerges to bring warmth and intensity.
At the heart, rose takes centre stage. A classic and ethereal rose absolute intertwines with exotic saffron, adding a warm, almost leathery spiciness, while Egyptian geranium enhances the green and aromatic facets of the rose. The Marinal molecule note complements the heart notes with airy, mineral accents.
In the drydown, the fragrance develops into a deeper and more enveloping expression. Oud and patchouli create a dark, woody foundation that forms an unexpected contrast to the fruity and floral nuances. Cashmere wood brings a soft, almost tactile warmth, while moss and musk melt into the skin, leaving a warm and elegant trail.
Afrikaans is a fragrance for those who appreciate the complexity and versatility of rose, where the contrast between light and darkness, juicy and dry, fresh and austere creates an intriguing whole that evokes mystery and hypnotic warmth.
